LCPC, LMHC, RPT-S
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (MT State) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (WA State).
I am able to provide licensure supervision for Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates in the state of Washington and Licensed Professional Counselor Associates in Montana. As well as supervision for those looking to pursue a Registered Play Therapy certification through the Association of Play Therapy (APT).

EMDRIA
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment for all ages that is effective for resolving emotional difficulties caused by disturbing, difficult, or frightening life experiences. EMDR uses sensory stimulation – eye movement, tapping, or vibrations) to mimic REM sleep (which is what helps us store memories). Using this movement – called Bilateral Stimulation – we are able to ‘unwire’ the memories in the brain that are causing distress.

RPT-S
Registered Play Therapist (RPT-S):
Play Therapy targets the unique developmental needs of young children and adolescents, who often express themselves better through play activities than through verbal communication. Play often includes parent engagement and parent teachings.

IECMHC
Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation is an evidence-based preventive intervention that team mental health consultants with providers who work with young children and their families to address and improve social and emotional development. This is provided in one of two settings – early childhood education sites and at home visitations. In early education sites the IECMHC guide teachers and administrators to address and influence change that fosters increased wellbeing of children’s social and emotional health. In the home sector, consultants support and build the capacity of home visitors. An IECMH consultant engaged with families and children in supportive ways but does not provide direct therapeutic services in this role.

CMHS
Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) is a certification that is earned through practice and continuing education in working with children. This certification requires widespread training and hours in session and in consultation with difficult cases in child centered therapy.

TF-CBT
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) connecting and unwiring the distressful memories from a traumatic event through the identification of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. TF-CBT uses six stages to address past events that affect current symptomology. This modality is evidenced based for children and adults.

CALMS & SAFES
I have extensive training, education an experience in working with teens and families struggling with suicidal ideation and counseling on access to lethal means (CALMS). I served on a specialized team in Washington State named SAFES (Supporting Adolescents and Families Experiencing Suicidality) which was in partnership with the PALS line and Seattle Children’s Hospital. My primary role was to help kids and families remain safe at home and out of the ER and hospital.
